The concept is: to explore “the schism between what existential philosopher, Jean-Paul Sartre referred to as being-in-itself and being for-itself and the Taoist concept of Wu Wei or action without desire, motivation or intention.
The exhibition likens the creative process of the artist to that of a Buddhist practitioner reciting sutras or creating a mandala, emphasizing the journey of meditation/practice rather then the end production (work) displayed.”
