Canadian artist, Stéfanie Vallée, will be staging her first exhibition in China at Kun Art Gallery this month. Ice and Fire visually describes Vallée's emotional reaction towards her native Canada, and perceptions of China. The artist uses the technique of 'indirect painting' in her vivid work, creating each piece largely without use of a brush. Instead, she pours colors directly from the palette, letting water flow freely while it transports the color onto the canvas.
