Vote Now: EcoChic Design Award
We wrote about The EcoChic Design Award back when the competition launched back in April. Three months later, things are hotting up, with 11 grand finalists selected by a panel of high profile judges including renowned Chinese fashion designers Vega Wang and Helen Lee. To recap, contestants were challenged by HK-based environmental charity, Redress, with the task of creating a waste-efficient garment using sustainability techniques of either zero-waste, up-cycling or reconstruction.

If these pics are anything to go by, the response has been pretty impressive, both in terms of the caliber of individual talents, and also their inventiveness. The fate of the 11 designers is now in the hands of not only those aforementioned celebrity judges who'll decide who gets to dream up a sustainable collection to be sold in Esprit stores next year, but also the rest of us eco fashion fans.
