UAP is looking for talented and passionate Lead Designer to join our growing Shanghai team. This position is available for an experienced designer with an art/design, industrial design, landscape architecture, architecture, interior architecture or other related design background.

As a Lead Designer with UAP you will play an integral role in creatively meeting client briefs through the design and communication of art projects for the public realm. Interfacing with artists and briefing design support and 3D visualization team requires high level communication skills. An understanding of materials and fabrication methods advantageous. You are determined to further develop your career in public art.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ work experience in an international design studio environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in the Art, Landscape, Architecture, Interiors, or Manufacturing industry.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English to communicate effectively stakeholders at all levels. Mandarin skills also an advantage.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and stay focused under pressure.
  • Willingness to work as part of a highly-motivated team through collaboration and communication.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills in design and construction methodology.
  • Strong attention to detail and administration skills.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of public art projects, and place making approach to public environments.
  • Practical ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software applications, 3D Max, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Rhino.
