Vodafone set itself the goal of fundamentally improving customer service. One of the spawned initiatives was the creation of the MeinWLAN apps, which allow end consumers to easily setup their own WiFi at home.
The application guides end consumers through the different steps of correctly connecting and placing the router, measuring frequency jams, setting up the router and measuring signal strength in the different rooms of the house. At the end of the exercise, the user will have setup their own WiFi the best way possible, or will have the option to make direct contact with Vodafone, should further help be needed.
After the release of the app, it won "Design of the Day" at the Design Awards Asia, and garnered very positive feedback from satisfied users.
