Totem Media is looking for an experienced social media strategist who is capable of working with clients, internal teams and partners to help build winning solutions for global brands thru social media in China. The right candidate will have a great balance between creative, analytical and people skills …and a strong attention to detail, in order to see social media plans through to success.


Outline of the Role

  • Working with global, consumer brands (our clients)
  • Managing social media strategies, projects and campaigns
  • Ensuring high-quality implementation of content & creative projects
  • Managing key accounts and acting as senior authority on client success
  • Working with creative, technical teams in pulling together client projects
  • Preparing quotations, invoices, contracts and other related project documents
  • Finding case studies, data and information related to marketing (social & ecommerce) in China
  • Helping to prepare and design presentations (using Keynote primarily)
  • Supporting new business pitches


Your Skills

  • Have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a social/digital agency
  • Live and breathe social media and understand its place within media
  • Passionate about the quickly-evolving social media and digital environment
  • Able to create clear social campaigns and present wining proposals to clients
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Understand how to manage a creative process with in-house and third-party resources
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)


Nice To Have

  • Creative instinct… able to come up with catchy ideas to hook audiences
  • Understanding for digital media integration (how social, search and ecommerce fit together)
  • High energy: you have a bit of an obsessive streak about building something!
