Retail Design for Kaco

Kaco is a designer stationery brand that targets the medium to high-end young demographic. Their products have various colors for this reason. In their stores they also feature two other brands: Kaco Green and Premec.

Due to the variety of product offerings, colors, and brands, Des:glory developed a categorizing system for the retail space. A geometric design is used throughout the store to clearly categorize the products, and to enable consumers to easily find what they are looking for. For each major category and brand, there are images or logos of the same size as each product display cell to clearly indicate the products. The majority of the space is in white, to let the products stand out and be easily spotted. It also gives the space a futuristic style with a green line that goes around the shop. The concept of the green line is an extension of the Kaco logo, which increases brand recognition.

Another feature used in the design of the space is a fun, engaging, and interactive experience. By using a stationery-vending machine outside the shop, it will increase customer traffic and interest. It also allows the products to be purchased at any time.
