Paustian International in Shanghai is the Chinese branch of the Danish furniture design house Paustian. Paustian in Denmark was first founded in 1964 by Ole Paustian, and has since then represented some of the most celebrated and renowned furniture designs for homes and organisations. We are the exclusive distributor of Vitra and Artek as well as Raf Simons kvadrat collection in our home market. The Paustian building in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, was designed in 1987 by the world famous architect Jørn Utzon, and the protected house has been the central platform for not only furniture and design, bur for film screenings, concerts, lectures, exhibitions and designer speeches. Today we have stores in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Shanghai. Since 2001, Paustian has also had a shop with showroom in the Jing'an area of Shanghai. Here we specialise in the production and distribution of our own furniture collection - Paustian Furniture Collection. This collection is designed and created by Danish architects and designers, and is aimed towards creating inspiring, functional and stylish interiors for offices and public institutions. Regardless of wether it is about providing a dining room table or workstations for 600 people, it takes a good sense of both design and function. It requires an eye for detail, knowledge of materials and the ability to put it all together in the right way. It demands a respect for tradition and the courage to think in new ways.
